Personal trainers can adapt their programs to include training for small groups (instructing groups over two).

If you have the desire to train groups of two or more, this is the course for you, which will allow you to expand your skill set with, Circuit, Bootcamp, Kickboxing, Hi-Lo and Step etc. Who is the Group Fitness Course designed for?

Those who have completed their Fitness Theory Course Those who have their Emergency First Aid and CPR Personal Trainers who would like to train groups of 3 or more

You will gain the groundwork for Group Training including:

  • Group training performance standards
  • Review of anatomy leadership skills
  • Gain confidence
  • Improved cueing and body language  
  • Teaching and managing groups
  • incorporate resistance equipment
  • Group program design
  • using music in a class setting class formats, hi-lo, step, bootcamp choreography patterns

BCRPA scope of practice review of the ICE (Instructor Competency Evaluation)

Upon Completion: Upon completion of the course you will receive an attractive, professional certificate which officiates the completion of your group training course. This certificate is colour laser printed on quality paper and will not fade or smudge.

You may proudly hang this certificate on your wall! After taking this Course: If you plan on becoming HFA Certified, upon completing the course, you may proceed with obtaining 8 practical teaching hours. Upon completing, you must be ICE (be evaluated at HFA), and then are able to apply to be insured! Group Fitness meets the National Standards set by the NFLA.
